Solving food challenges - MACUN International supports solutions for sustainable agriculture. Due to limited - or sometimes contaminated - freshwater resourced as well as salinity problems at several coastlines, we are working together with leading specialists to implement seawater agricultural eco-systems.

We are currently developing a new generation of 24/7h CO2 neutral energy production and energy recovery systems that significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions: Osmotic power and other alternative energy systems.
LANDSCAPE reforestation
Tidal wetland restoration and reforestation, represented by our project "bluemangrove," stands as a crucial environmental pillar of MACUN International LLC. Our endeavors focus on creating climate change mitigation effects while generating environmental and social co-benefits that align with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are fully committed to complying with the Paris Climate Agreement and its goals of limiting global warming.
Our primary objective is to develop a robust portfolio of investment-grade projects that contribute to financing a low-carbon future. We aim to establish tangible and additional carbon sinks known as "blue carbon," specifically pertaining to tidal- and/or ocean-based Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR). The global pursuit of wetland restoration and reforestation serves a range of objectives, including the creation of wildlife habitats, restoration of water quality and quantity, and the provision of storm protection and sustainable food production. Moreover, these efforts yield additional benefits in terms of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and mitigating climate change.
We embrace a holistic approach that considers the ecological changes and transformations resulting from reforestation activities, fostering the transition of restored areas into wilderness. All our endeavors, including those aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are genuine, additional, demonstrate permanence, and undergo third-party verification by reputable certification bodies like Gold Standard or other well-known entities. All our large-scale mangrove reforestation projects adhere to science-based methodologies recognized by UNFCCC/CCNUCC. Our projects also comply with the ITMO (Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcome) rule book, ensuring adherence to corresponding adjustments. We surpass the conventional "plant-a-tree" model by leveraging the diverse ecosystems for adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and biodiversity preservation, with the aim of reducing local poverty and preventing civil conflicts.
